A native of Indiana, Dr. Nina Rettig earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Indiana University in Bloomington before continuing her education at the Indiana University School of Optometry, where she trained to become an optometrist. She completed clinical rotations at Moses Eye Care Center, Indianapolis Eye Care Center, Cataract and Laser Institute in Indiana, as well as Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.
She went on to practice primary care optometry in Illinois for a few years with a special interest in fitting specialty contact lenses. Upon moving to Washington State, she worked with refracting surgeons, seeing pre- and post-op LASIK and PRK patients before joining Everett Optometry in 2024.
